  1. Hey, on the off-chance that Subaru isn't moderating these comments, just wanted to chime in and say this commercial, although on the surface cute, is absolutely abhorrent and demonic in nature. "A touch screen makes everyone happy" might be true in the short term, but this is clearly meant to appeal to parents who would otherwise have difficulty raising a child. The cutesy dog visuals and nursery rhyme underscore this message and makes it feel even more condescending than it already does.

Gigantic touch screens rob control from the user by restricting their means of control via software applications, and they are also an enormous safety hazard as seen by the number of distraction-related accidents having gone up dramatically since the implementation of this feature. Placing artificial restrictions on when you can do certain things on the touchscreen does very little to mitigate this risk, and that's even assuming that the software works as it properly should, another point of failure.

Car companies are running out of ways to upsell the customer, so they've resorted to selling you things you not only do not need, but things that actively will make your experience worse and more dangerous than it would have been, had those things not been there at all. These screens are only serving to pull us apart, and while they likely won't destroy us entirely, the existence of such a malicious campaign can only serve to hinder society, lest we fail to overcome these trials.

Hopefully if you found my comment it reached you in time. If for whatever reason this bothers you, feel free to enjoy the cute animals, there's plenty more of them to see on the rest of the internet.
